Welcome to my studio!

I am Cassandra Mimi Richaud, a fibre artist that always loves wool since a very young age. I started knitting when I was about about 5 years old, learning from my godmother. I moved to Cluny, Alberta 17 years ago on a 160 acres little farm. Being from the city, I did not know very much about farming. I got 5 sheep and 3 alpaca to contribute to my wool addiction . I learned from The Crowfoot Creek Spinners how to prepare the wool fibre from the beginning: washing the wool, picking, carding and finally learning to spin and weave. I added up to my expertise the process of wet felting learning from The Wool Mine in Duchess, Alberta,  and needle felting and hand dying my own fibre. Here in my little studio, I offer beautiful felted soap. The wool  merino/corriedale used is from The Wool Mine where the sheep are well loved and cared for. NO HARSH CHEMICAL DIP FOR THOSE SHEEPS! The soap being all natural and hand made by O'Canada Soapworks in Canmore, A.B. I sell a wide variety of hand spun, hand dyed wool like merino, alpaca, and chiengora from your own dog. Other things in the studio include dryer balls, unique hats , thrums mitts and scarves.
